Healing Chronic
Neck & Shoulder Pain
Do you have chronic pain in your upper back, shoulders and neck? Then you will not want to miss this workshop which will only be offered once this year. In this workshop we will be using a gentle Yoga practice, to help recognize where our pain is exactly, and how to let it go through mindful movement. We will be adapting each pose for the person and the type of healing needed for each individual. You will be learning how the association between breath, awareness and stress release affects these areas of pain, and will learn techniques that when practiced daily will relieve common chronic pain from muscle misalignments, injuries, stress & common diseases. The use of Yoga in chronic neck and shoulder pain has been proven to reduce pain and inflammation, increase circulation (which allows healing), improves function, and increase self confidence & well being.
This workshop is available to all persons no matter the level of experience in yoga. Though, this workshop is not for anyone who is currently healing disc injuries or has other serious conditions such as: numbness, tingling, weakness or shooting pain in the arm or hand. Please advise your physician on whether or not this workshop is for you.
If you have a yoga mat, please bring one. There will be yoga mats available for those that don’t have one. Please also bring a full size towel from home.
